Reginald L. Jackson




Reginald L. Jackson is a native of West Helena, Arkansas, and is a 1984 graduate of Helena-West Helena Central High School.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and Marketing in May 1989 from the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. 


During his professional career, he served as public information officer for two Arkansas Secretaries of State in Little Rock; and as director of communications for the Arkansas Department of Career Education in Little Rock.  He also worked as a weekend radio personality on Power 92 FM and Hot 96.5 FM in Little Rock from 1991 to 2009. 


Since 2009, he has served as the State Public Affairs Specialist for the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in Little Rock.  He is on the senior management team, manages the Communications and Public Affairs Department, and is responsible for all media relations.


He has been a member of the Arkansas Chapter of NOPBNRCSE since 2009 where he has served as corresponding secretary, and recently became a life member of the Organization.  He has also served on the communications committee during the National Organization meeting in Atlanta.  In 2018, he was appointed as Interim Vice President of NOPBNRCSE. 


Jackson enlisted in the United States Navy Reserve in 1994 and received his commission in 2000. He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander and is the executive officer of the Naval War College Public Affairs unit in Newport, Rhode Island.  During his naval career, he has been awarded the Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Kosovo Campaign Medal, NATO Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, National Defense Medal and various other service medals.


He is a member of the Soil and Water Conservation Society - Razorback Chapter, International Assn of Business Communicators, Public Relations Society America, National Assn of Black Journalists; National Assn of Government Communicators; Assn of the United States Navy, Fleet Reserve Assn, American Legion, Military Officers Assn, NAACP - Conway AR Branch, Free and Accepted Masons - Prince Hall Affiliation; and a life member Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
